Dallas Cowboys Coach Jason Garrett Returns Next Season; Team To Continue Winning Record With Current Season?

Jason Garrett will still be the coach of the Dallas Cowboys following a decision by team owner Jerry Jones and executive vice president Stephen Jones.

Considering how the Dallas Cowboys improved much from their past three seasons with an 8-8 record, Jason Garrett contributed a lot to the current winning season, based on an ESPN report.

Jones said on last week, "Obviously, it's an improvement this year, and an improvement at a time when a lot of people didn't think we would improve."

The Dallas Cowboys' coach added: "They actually thought we might go backwards, and here we are at nine wins with three games to go. We've got a lot of work to do. But I really think Jason is the right guy for this job, and I know Jerry thinks the same thing. I certainly see Jason being a big part of our future."

The Cowboys also won over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday with a final score of 38-27, which means that they no longer have to end up as a wildcard in the postseason.

If they win the next two games, the Dallas Cowboys will be number one in NFC East. The Jones family is now backing Jason Garrett more than ever so that he remains with the team in the next NFL season.

Jason Garrett currently has two more games remaining in his contract.

Sporting News reported that Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett showcased his approachable nature, intelligence and flexibility during Sunday's game. Even before their win over the Eagles, owner Jerry Jones was already planning to extend his contract.

Early in December, the Dallas Cowboys did not look as strong after they lost against the same Eagles with a final score of 33-10. However, the coach managed to get over the hump and encouraged the team to be more aggressive to control Chip Kelly's team.

On Sunday, they made sure that they pushed the football downfield with passes via Dez Bryant. A healthy Tony Romo also added to the team's overall strength.

Jason Garrett managed the clock well and did not get rattled when the Dallas Cowboys gave up a lead. Because Garrett loosened up, the Cowboys also reportedly discovered the right balance between edge and comfort, resulting to subsequent victories.
