South Korean Government's Cultural Agency Calls Taeyang's 'Eyes, Nose, Lips' 'The Most Loved K-Pop Song Of 2014'

Korea’s creative content agency revealed their ‘American K-Pop market consumer research’ results and announced that Big Bang member Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” to be the most loved K-Pop song for 2014.

On December 18, the agency revealed Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” received the most votes with 116 people. Group VIXX came next with 84 votes, EXO with 68 votes, BTS with 58 votes and 2PM with 37 votes.

For the most loved K-Pop artist, BTS ranked first with 199 votes, EXO with 119 votes, VIXX with 99 votes, WINNER with 70 votes and GOT7 with 68 votes. Following them were also Super Junior, INFINITE, Taeyang, 2NE1, Beast and more.

The artists that ranked in the top 5 of this survey were all artists that had debuted within the past 3 years, revealing that many U.S. K-Pop fans were very aware of the latest music trends in Korea.

The most loved K-Pop music video for 2014 was VIXX’s “Error” with 157 votes, EXO’s “Overdose” with 81 votes and more. Groups BTS and Super Junior came up right behind them on the list as well.

The Korea creative content agency held this poll in the states from December 3-13 online and had a total of 1,540 people participate in this survey.

The age groups of people who participated in this survey is as follows: 16-20 years old (49.4%), 20-25 years old (27.2%), 26-30 years old (7.6%) and 31-35 years old (4%).

Also, 90% of the voters were revealed to be women, which also then concluded that most of the U.S. K-Pop listeners were young females in their late teens to mid-twenties.
