SBS K-Pop Super Concert in USA: This Concert Will Happen Despite External Circumstances

By Staff Writer | October 09, 2012 12:55 AM EDT

With a postponement for this program occuring twice, the question on everyone's mind is whether the SBS K-Pop Super Concert scheduled for November 10th is in fact going to finally happen.  So, KpopStarz reached out to the organizers to get answers to your most pressing questions and concerns about the event.

One thing is for certain, this star studded lineup of 2NE1, Girls' Generation, CNBLUE, BEAST, KARA, SISTAR and 4Minute, will be the event to look forward to this fall.  A representative from Zion, the publicist for this event, noted for us that "SBS is fully on-board in making this concert happen, despite any external circumstances."  So, for fans waiting to make plans or to purchase tickets until a confirmation is made, this should be enough reason to queue up now.

There is also a lot of K-Pop concerts going on in the Los Angeles area lately, and fans are trying to prioritize which to attend, so what really sets the SBS K-Pop Super Concert apart from multi-artist programs recently held and will be held such as KCON USA and MBC Korean Wave at Google. Official representatives said, "The line-up features the TOP K-POP artists, and we are currently working on making sure this event is as interactive with the artists as possible."  In addition, the concert boasts a lineup that has representation from nearly all major K-pop entertainment companies -- SM, YG, CUBE, DSP, and Starship. This lineup attracts attention as media outlets are perhaps curious to find out the theme behind the collaboration of all these artists in one show.  Zion says, " SBS is an integral platform for all K-POP artists, whether it be on their music programs or variety shows. The concert thereby features artists from all major Korean entertainment companies, andewill be broadcast as a special program on SBS."

The concert organizers acknowledge the inconvenience and doubt the fans might have now, and to allay these concerns they said,  "Especially to make up for the postponement of the concert, we are working around the clock to ensure fans get the full experience they are hoping for. Also, we will be having a full day of activities leading up to the concert to maximize the value of the total concert experience. More information regarding the day's agenda will be released soon."  That definitely ups the ante a little bit, as a full day event with a star-studded cast for a nightcap is definitely something to look forward to.

The organizers are also planning to conduct the same marketing efforts they did last time -- with contests and events leading up to the event.  In fact, if you are able to tune into KIIS FM in your locale, ticket giveaways for the concert will be happening beginning at the end of the week of October 8th. Other events and contests are still in the planning stages so make sure to visit the Absolute Kpop Facebook page for constant updates.
