Since EXID's single titled, "Up & Down" is ranking on various online music charts, the members wanted to say thank you to the person who helped their popularity.

EXID may have released "Up & Down" back in August, but a fan recording of one of their performances recently went viral, putting the song back on the charts and giving the group another go at promotions.

EXID members LE, Hani, Solji, Hyerin, and Junghwa wanted to buy the person dinne as a way to show their appreciation and happiness to be promoting again, but the offer was declined.

"Recently, the fan was contacted directly by representatives of Yedang Entertainment on the phone [to tell him] ‘thank you very much," an official from Yedang Entertainment revealed. "[The rep said] EXID and ‘Up & Down’ composer Shinsadong Tiger would like to have dinner with you, but he said ‘I’m busy. I have other girl groups to record. Let’s eat another time.'"

"He is not a fan of only EXID, but he shoots videos of several girl groups as a hobby. We really appreciate what he’s done."

All over the internet, fans of EXID are reacting to the funny situation. "What a cool guy," said one comment. "What a professional fancam taker," read another. "Hul, I'd take the invitation in a heartbeat," insisted another fan.

On December 18th, EXID's single ranked number one on Mnet's music charts. Including this, the song"Up & Down" also ranked number five on Naver's music chart and number four on MelOn. The girls are currently promoting "Up & Down" on the music programs each week.
