Will Psy's English Album Surpass His Success Of 'Gangnam Style'?

Psy, the famous Korean singer  who has penned "Dress classy, Dance cheesy" with his smash hit "Gangnam Style" which has hit 400 million views on YouTube is set to release a debut English album this coming November.  Many are anticipating whether this album will surpass Gangnam Style.

Psy himself is quoted to have said "The problem is my music video is more popular than I am. That's a big problem for me right now, so I've got to overcome my music video first," he added. "I've got to come to the UK, I've got to go everywhere to promote myself, who I am and what I've done for 12 years in Korea."

Psy in the past month has managed to appear on the Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen Degeneres Show, The IHeart Radio Music Festival, and Saturday Night Live; he has also achieved a Guinness world record for the most number of likes on You Tube, something that a few years ago was thought to be unachievable for a Kpop artist.

Recently he held a free concert in Seoul Plaza which attracted 80,000 fans. He is currently touring the college campuses in Korea, and is set to leave on the 15th for Australia, then head to the U.S. on the 18th. There is anticipation for Psy to see if he can achieve number 1 on the billboard chart.

"Everybody is describing me as a worldwide phenomenon, so especially for Korea, they are thinking of me as representing our country for the new history, for the K-pop history, so they are cheering a lot here." Psy shouldn't have much to worry about since he has Justin Beiber's manager Scooter Braun, who has pushed artists like Justin Beiber, and Carly Rae Jepsen to fame. Will Psy surpass the success of Gangnam Style? We will just have to wait and see.
