Super Junior Top Japan’s Oricon Weekly Chart With Their New Single, ‘Mamacita-Ayaya’

Group Super Junior has topped Japan Oricon’s Weekly Single chart.

Last Wednesday, Super Junior released their 6th Japanese single, Mamacita-Ayaya, and topped the Oricon Daily and Weekly Single chart on the day of its release.

This is the first time Super Junior has topped the Oricon Weekly Chart.

This Japanese single was first released in Korea back in September with their title song, “Mamacita.” This album topped various music charts in Korea and also topped the Billboard World Album chart as well as the Hong Kong and Taiwan music charts as well.

They released this single in a Japanese version last Wednesday and have received a positive response from fans.

Although the group has not officially debuted in Japan, their popularity is still bigger than ever. They have held large scale concerts at the Tokyo Dome 3 years in a row as well as many solo concerts. Their trademark ‘Supershow’ tour also held its 6th tour in Japan and met 280,000 fans.

Oricon revealed on their homepage, “It has been one year since Super Junior has made a comeback. Their new song has topped the Japan Oricon weekly chart for the first time as well.”

On the other hand, Super Junior will be heading to Bangkok next year from January 10-11 and continue their ‘Supershow6’ world tour.
