Girl group, EXID, had been terminated three months ago. However, they made a historical reversal, and have recently been considered as one of the "hottest" girl groups. On December 24, 8 PM (KST), EXID, the group that once terminated from their lack of popularity, ranked #1 on Melon.

EXID, represented by Yedang Entertainment, debuted on February 16, 2012, with their single, "Holla." EXID was originally a six-member group when they started, but three members left the group after two months and were replaced by two new members.

EXID began getting recognition in November for their song "Up & Down" which was released in late August, 2014. Although they have not gained much recognition while they were active, they started to gain the attention after a fan video of their "Up & Down" performance was uploaded on SNS. Since November 20, they reappeared on music charts and have been ranking in the top ten. Some of the music charts that EXID ranked in the top ten on are: Mnet, Genie, Olleh Music, Soribada, and Bugs Music.

It is very unusual for a group to terminate their activities then reappear on music charts and music programs in only a few months, as EXID had managed to do. 

EXID plans to release a new album before March 2015. Details of their concept are still undecided, but they are diligently preparing their album. EXID does not plan to stray far from the sexy concept from "Up & Down."
