Passengers Applaud As Man Gets Kicked Off American Airlines Flight Over ‘Merry Christmas’ Greeting

The grinch who stole Christmas was apparently aboard American Airlines Flight 1140 at LaGuardia airport on Tuesday. A passenger was kicked off the flight after causing a scene over the flight attendants wishing everyone a "Merry Christmas."

According to The New York Post, the unidentified passenger was boarding an American Airlines flight to Dallas when a gate agent wished him and his fellow passengers a "Merry Christmas."

The man reportedly replied, "You shouldn't say that because not everyone celebrates Christmas." He appeared to be travelling alone, Fox News reports.

The agent answered, "Well, what should I say then?"

"Don't say, 'Merry Christmas!'" the man shouted before boarding the plane.

Once on the plane, a flight attendant also wished him a "Merry Christmas."

The passenger had had enough.

"Don't say, 'Merry Christmas!'" the man yelled before lecturing the attendants and the pilot about holiday greeting etiquette.

He was eventually kicked off the plane.

The passengers applauded as he was escorted off the aircraft.

For future reference, "Happy Holidays" is usually more PC.
