Cable channel Mnet's "2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards" will be held in Hong Kong.

Mnet stated today, "2012 MAMA will be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre on November 30."

MAMA is the new awards ceremony that took place of the MKMF that started in 1999.

The first MAMA was in 2009 and took place in Korea. The ceremony was broadcasted live in 10 different countries. MAMA was held in Macao in 2010 and in Singapore in 2011.

Mnet commented, "This year is the 4th year for the MAMA. This year is very important because this event will allow K-Pop and its culture to spread out globally."

Mnet plans to have not only K-Pop artists, but also foreign artists as well. This event will be a place where fans and stars can come together for a great time filled with music.
