Fans Fawn Over 'Fate/Stay Night' Saber 10th Anniversary Royal Dress Statue Released At Japanese Festival Comiket

"Fate/stay night" fans love the character of Saber. Non-believers need only visit the official Reddit page for Saber, where the users have called themselves her official "Knights," based on her ultimate secret identity as King Arthur.

In fact, in an Animesuki Forum poll, Saber was voted the fan favorite by over 50% of the voters.

Given the popularity of Saber, it makes sense that Type-Moon would celebrate their 10 year anniversary (using the original PC game as the mark of the beginning) by making a Saber statue. The small statue, which features Saber in her official royal dress, was released this weekend at the Japanese festival Comiket (Comic Market).

Fans are reacting to the photos of the statue with excitement as expected, with a little bit of fan-boying and fan-girling.

"Wow! That looks really really good," commented BubbelRegn on Crunchyroll.

"Time to save up for this!!!!" exclaimed PCBFan.

"As Saber's self-proclaimed #1 fan, my life will not be complete until I own this," said AlexJaguar.

Saber's royal dress was designed by Hirozaku Koyama, who also designed several other images of characters from "Fate/stay night" in dresses for art featured on the Blu-ray jacket and bonus posters for the "Type-Moon 10th Anniversary Event" Blu-ray set. According to Crunchyroll, the other characters in dresses are Shiki, Arcueid, and Aozaki.

The current anime version of "Fate/stay night" is the "Unlimited Blade Works" story that completed its first season last weekend. The series has generated much buzz this fall and was ranked by fans on Anime News Network as the second best anime of 2014 behind "Parasyte the Maxim."

Fans can find images of Saber in her statue form as well as the other Hirozaku Koyama dress design images below. "Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works" will return to air next year in April.

[MINOR SPOILER] Given Saber's cliffhanger ending at the end of this current season, the anime series is sure to draw in as many fans as it did this season.
