‘Prince Of Tennis' Manga Creator Takeshi Konomi Tweets New Drawings Of Characters In Different Professions [PHOTOS]

Social media, specifically Twitter, has definitely changed the way fans can interact with their favorite celebrities. Particularly, now you have the potential to tweet your favorite star and get an immediate response instead of trying to win meet and greet tickets on the radio.

Manga fans however are just happy to see more special work by their favorite artists.

Takeshi Konomi, the author and creator of both iterations of the "Prince of Tennis" manga, recently shared a series of tweets of special drawings featuring main characters outside of their usual tennis outfits. In fact, he's taken them to several different life professions, including pastry chefs.

For evidence of how much fans like "Prince of Tennis," one need only read the reviews of his follow up series, "New Prince of Tennis."

"All in all, I can say that I am thoroughly enjoying Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama. It's the same old characters but with a new story and I can't say I didn't miss them (yes, Atobe too). The characters would keep you laughing and the twists and the matches would keep you hangin' on till the end and just make you want more and more," commented Cursebraker on My Anime List.

According to Anime News Network, the drawings are for a series of post cards to be included with the new releases of his original "Prince of Tennis" manga. They report that the volumes are being released in pairs for a total 24 all new volumes.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Wikipedia provides the following synopsis for "Prince of Tennis":

"The series is primarily set in Tokyo, and centers around Ryoma Echizen, a tennis prodigy who attends Seishun Academy (青春学園Seishun Gakuen), or Seigaku (青学) for short, a private school famous for its strong tennis club and talented players. Ryoma quickly defeats numerous upperclassmen shortly after entrance to secure himself a spot as one of the team's regulars.

In pursuit of their ultimate goal of winning the National Middle School Tennis Championship, members of the team make new friends while learning and mastering increasingly complex techniques. Ryoma also begins to develop his own style of tennis, and eventually realizes what the sport really means to him."
