In this month's issue of Rolling Stone, Nicki Minaj showed a vulnerable side of herself that the public has rarely seen before. According to USA Today, her new 15-minute iTunes Film "The Pinkprint" discusses her first love, and conveys her emotions when finding out she was pregnant.

The 32-year-old rapper once dated an older man from Queens while she was a student at the famed performing-arts high school LaGuardia. US Magazine reports that their relationship led to her getting pregnant, which was not part of her plan at the time.

Minaj told Rolling Stone, "I thought I was going to die... I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I'd ever gone through." She went on to have an abortion, which is a decision she admits has haunted her all her life. However, she stands by her decision at the time, stating, "It'd be contradictory if I said I wasn't pro-choice. I wasn't ready. I didn't have anything to offer a child."

Besides bringing this news to light, "The Pinkprint" has allowed fans to have a better look at Minaj's personal life. By now, it is no surprise that her 11-year relationship with Safaree Samuels has ended, and she has chosen to address it rather than brush it off. She stated, "One of my goals was to give people a glimpse into my personal life, because it's something I've kept very private...

I had to learn to do something as simple as sleep alone... I struggled with 'Do I express these feelings?' And I decided there's no reason for me to hide. I'm a vulnerable woman, and I'm proud of that."

She also feels that it is better to address her past issues than let the public speculate about them. She commented, "Millions of people are gonna hear it. And you gotta watch everything you say - people find an issue with every fucking thing."
