ABC "Nightline" Gets an Inside Look at SM, 'How K-Pop Idols are Made'

ABC news program, "Nightline" reported a news segment about how SM Entertainment's training system works in creating K-Pop idols.

On October 15, ABC "Nightline" featured a story about how K-Pop artists came to be by visiting SM Entertainment's building to see how the training process works.

ABC stated, "Top idol groups such as Super Junior and Girls' Generation are created through SM's training system. Every week, hundreds of people line up outside to audition for the company and hopefully become the lucky few to become the next K-Pop star. The lucky ones that do pass the audition, go through a series of training of vocal, dance, language and others to become an idol star."

They continued, "Girls' Generation is considered one of the 'hottest acts' in K-Pop with their addictive songs and sleek dance steps. They have many chart-topping hit songs and millions of views on YouTube.

Internet users commented, "K-Pop has become so famous that SM has even been featured on ABC" and "K-Pop is the hottest thing right now."
