"Fairy Tail" fans may have four more days to wait until the latest episode airs, but now it looks like there will be even more to look forward to in the future episodes of the fantasy anime series.

Today it was announced that several "Fairy Tail" manga special chapters would get their own place in the anime adaptation. The episodes in question will be Episode 219, 220, and 222. (One can assume that this count of episodes is not starting at one again for the second season, so for a good guess as to when these episodes will show up, fans can go here.)

Fans are reacting to the news about the new "Fairy Tail" episodes with positivity, mainly due to their unhappiness with the current arc in the anime series.

"Oh good. I'm not too fond of the current anime filler arc so this might refresh things up a bit soon," said Stark700 in an ANN forum.

"I have to agree the filler arc is terrible. I can't even watch it knowing what's coming up. These side stories sound awesome," commented J Talbain.

"The current filler arc is kinda so-so, not really bad, but not good either. I always liked the episodic fillers much more so I'm looking forward to these," explained Thekingsdinner.

Anime News Network reports that the news about the special chapter adaptations broke in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine. They also report that episode 221 will be an anime original arc taking place on a snowy mountain. The "Fairy Tail" manga special chapters to be adapted are "Natsu to Asuka," the magazine special that features Juvia as the main character, and the "Fairy Woman" one-shot.

It was also reported that boy band V6 will perform the new opening theme for "Fairy Tail" entitled "Break Out." Additionally, fashion model Mariya Nishiuchi will perform the new ending theme entitled "Don't Let Me Down."
