Crunchyroll Announces Simulcast For ‘KanColle' Anime At IKKiCon Festival, Watch The Trailer Here! [VIDEO]

Sometimes when fans are unable to attend an anime or manga festival, it seems they're missing out on so many things. But with the amount of announcements that come out of events such as this years IKKiCon festival, perhaps fans can rejoice in at least receiving some updates.

The latest update/announcement to come from a festival is Crunchyroll securing the streaming rights for the "KanColle" anime just in time for its premiere. Anime fans who aren't familiar with the series can read information about that anime as well as watch "KanColle's" trailer below.

Although some of the reviews for the series are slightly negative, some fans remain excited to view the series as it progresses. Specifically, some fans are excited about "ship girls."

"Yay boat girls. Can't wait!" commented Rivailloli in an ANN forum.

"Yessssss. Give me my ship girls," exclaimed GaijinUniversal in a Crunchyroll forum.

"Watching the first episode there was a lot of what...uh...ok. But, lets be honest I didn't watch it for a well thought out and logical plot," said Grade14 on Crunchyroll.

According to Anime News Network, Crunchyroll is set to stream the "KanColle" anime "in the United States and its territories, Canada, Central and South America including the Caribbean, United Kingdom and Ireland, Europe (excluding German-speaking territories), South Africa, the Middle East and North Africa."

The voice cast for "KanColle" includes Sumiire Uesaka as Fubuki, Saki Fujita as Akagi, and Yuka Iguchi as Kaga. Additional cast members include Ayane Sakura, Nao Toyama, Yuka Otsubo, Rina Hidaka, Aya Suzaki, and Iori Nomizu. The series will be directed by Keizou Kusakawa with character designs by Mauko Matsumoto and Naomi Ide.

Crunchyroll provides the following synopsis for "KanColle":

"Set in a world where humanity has lost control of the oceans to the "deep sea fleet," the only hope to counter this threat are the Kanmusu, a group of girls who possess the spirit of Japanese warships. The story revolves around Fubuki, a destroyer who comes to the Chinjufu base to train with other Kanmusu. Watch as their stories unfold!"

The first episode of "KanColle" is now streaming.
