Disbandment: The Future Of Jewelry Members Uncertain

After 14 years of performing as a group, Jewelry has decided to call it quits. Although the name Jewelry is now just a mark in history's timeline, K-pop fans can still anticipate activities from the group's former members. However, where will we be able to see Jewelry members in the future?

On the 7th of January, Jewelry's agency Star Empire released the 2001 debut hit "I Love You" as a final tribute to the fans of the now disbanded girl group. Star Empire requested that fans provide support and love for the members even though the group was no longer together. The agency explained that members Ha Joo-Yeon and Park Se-mi, whose contracts have expired under the company, will be seeking a new home for their talents. Member Kim Ye-Won will also leave after her contract expires.

Member Kim Ye-Won, who stayed with the agency until the end, recently appeared as the sparkly guest fill-in for classic K-pop group Cool on the famous MBC show Infinity Challenge's episode: Saturday We Are Saturday Singer. She has also showed her witty conversation skills on various talk shows and appeared in the dramas Miss Korea and Hotel King. Although members Park Se-Mi and Kim Ye-Won joined Jewelry during its last run, their enthusiastic and glowing performances have citizens anticipating their next career moves.

According to Star Empire, members Ha Joo-Yeon and Park Se-Mi will be seeking management under a new company after staying with the group until its final disbandment. Fans can anticipate a fresh new direction from the two, whom both plan on making grand returns.

Veteran former member Seo In-Young, who has been active on many music programs, plans on focusing on her solo album while nurturing younger artists as a producer. Seo In-Young, who has cultivated hits such as "Cinderella," "Love is Bitter, Pain is Calling," "Anymore," and "Thinking of You" already possesses a successful solo resume outside of Jewelry and should continue to impress the music industry with her talents.

Other former members Park Jung-Hwa, Lee Ji-Hyun, and Jo Min-Ah will continue their careers in broadcasting, acting, and musicals. Park Jung-Hwa, who is currently in the drama My Daughter Seo Young and Lady, will continue to impress viewers with her versatility. Former member Jo Min-Ah will continue her stint in theatre and musicals. Former member Lee Ji-Hyun, who ventured into acting after the disbandment, recently announced the news of her second child with her husband. Her plans in the future are currently unknown.

Although Jewelry was once a beloved girl group in Korea, its many changes and struggles have created a colorful memory for fans to remember. The former members plan on exciting their fans even after their disbandment with their solo careers. Although the name Jewelry is no longer enlisted in the list of active girl groups, the experiences they accumulated during their run will surely create much anticipation in the future.
