Members of f(x), EXO Were Most Searched Stars In China In 2014

Chinese search engine Baidu revealed that two Korean singers were within the top five most-searched celebrities in 2014.

f(x) leader Victoria Song and EXO member Lay were two of the most-searched celebrities in China in 2014 Baidu's search engine. They ranked second and fourth place, respectively. The two are members of popular SM Entertainment idol groups. Both are Chinese nationals went to Korea to pursue music careers.

Victoria was the second most-searched celebrity in China, following behind Chinese singer-songwriter Zhou Bichang. Lay came in fourth after the Chinese boy band TFBOYS.

Baidu is one of the largest websites in the world, acting similarly to Google, which is restricted in China.

Both f(x) and EXO faced a variety of issues this year due to members leaving and going on hiatus. Despite the setbacks, the two groups were both extremely popular throughout Asia.

The search engine results exemplify the amount of popularity that the two have in not only Korea but also in China.

Lay was a local child star in the country prior to heading to South Korea to become the main dancer of EXO's Mandarin-speaking sub-group, EXO-M. Lay is currently preparing for EXO's 2015 rumored comeback.

Victoria, along with being the leader and member of f(x), is a popular actress who has appeared in several Chinese television dramas, as we all as variety shows in both Korea and China.  She was also nominated for multiple awards at the 2014 World Music Awards. In 2015, Victoria will appear in Hunan TV's Beautiful Secret and the Korean film, My New Sassy Girl.
