Watch New 'Dragon Ball Xenoverse' Trailer Featuring An Attack By Fan Favorite Character Piccolo [VIDEO]

After the announcement that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" would need an extra week to power up before being released in North America and Europe, a new teaser began streaming online with some new gameplay footage.

Perhaps the teaser is an offer to keep international fans appeased for the extra one week they'll have to wait for the game.

Nevertheless, the new "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" teaser features an attack by fan favorite Namek native Piccolo. The new teaser/trailer is available to watch below along with an English transcript of the Japanese narration, courtesy of Anime News Network.

Akira Toriyama, the original creator of the world of "Dragon Ball" once stated that his personal favorite character was Piccolo:

"I believe mine would be Piccolo. He was the first character in my manga where I was like, 'He has a scary face, but he's so cool!' It really is cliché when bad guys turn into good guys, but it just feels great drawing it" exclaimed Toriyama (via The Grand Online).

Given the sheer amount of Reddit fans, and the celebrators of "Piccolo Day," it looks like Toriyama is not alone in his love for the Green fighter.

This perhaps explains why Piccolo is the next character to be featured attacking in a "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" ad. Admittedly, the attack is brief however as the rest of it spirals into gameplay features. Anime News Network provides the following English transcript:

Text: Change history
Narrator: It's not your usual Dragon Ball?!
Narrator: You'll be the one to save the world! Make a superpowered warrior and fight alongside Son Goku! Dragon Ball Xenoverse!

ANN also provides the following description for the upcoming "Dragon Ball Z" Game:

"In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, players can take on the role of an original character who teams up with Trunks and the Kai of Time to stop the new characters Towa and Mira from changing the course of history in the Dragon Ball story."

The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 platforms in Japan on February 5, 2015. United States fans will have to wait for February 24. Finally, Europe will receive the game on February 27. It will also debut on PC via Steam on February 27.
