YG's Lee Hi, What is Her Appeal?

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk said Lee Hi's appeal is 'unexpected.'

Yang Hyun Suk said, "As I led Lee Hi's producing myself, I realized that her appeal is incredibly unexpected and thus charming. She had never learned to dance professionally but you'll see her young and cute charms in the "1,2,3,4" Music Video."

Lee Hi had stolen the hearts of viewers when she appeared on SBS "K-Pop Star" with her soulful voice and stage mannerisms. She was able to pull off pop, ballad and R&B soul genres and was highly rated on her potential.

When she sang 2NE1's "I Am the Best" on the show, all the judges said that she was cute and laughed. However, Yang Hyun Suk knew that there was something about her and he says it will translate to her debut song.

He continued, "She has a lot of talent and has a very mature voice. However, many may say that she's still inexperienced, which could work to her advantage. She'll show something that's not easily common in Korean markets today."

Many new teaser images like those above are floating around on the internet and it is helping hype up her debut which will come next week. People are wondering just what Yang Hyun Suk means exactly by her unique and interesting charming appeal.

It is said that he used the same director who created the music videos for "Blue," "Monster" and 2NE1's "Lonely," and invested twice the amount of money for Lee Hi's music video.

Her debut single will be released on Monday and will officially make her first step into the industry. She was featured in Epik High's "It's Cold" which was released earlier this month.
