Lee Jong Suk has been selected as one of the most anticipated Korean actors of 2015 in a poll conducted by the Chinese news outlet, People’s King. The “Pinocchio” star was listed along with “My Love From The Stars” actress Jun Ji Hyun in the poll which contained votes from top Chinese entertainment reporters and film industry insiders.
The poll placed Lee Jong Suk above his contemporaries, as an excellent Korean actor. In addition to his acting ability, voters in the poll also selected Lee Jong Suk for his photogenic appearance.
The recent honor by People’s King follows other polls which have listed Lee Jong Suk as one of the most influential people in China.
His success within the Chinese market was reflected through the popularity of “Pinocchio.” The SBS drama received more than a billion views through the video portal, Youku Tudou.
Lee Jong Suk entered Korean entertainment as a model in 2005. Since his debut, he has worked on several high profile dramas including “Secret Garden,” “School 2013,” “I Can Hear Your Voice,” and “Doctor Stranger.”
He appealed to a wider fan base with “Pinocchio,” due to his on-screen chemistry with Park Shin Hye. “Pinocchio” successfully concluded on January 15.
