Cleveland Browns Josh Gordon Faces One Year Suspension From The NFL Due To Failing Another Drug Test In The League!

Bad news for the Cleveland Browns as Josh Gordon will likely recieve a suspension from the National Football League, for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Several reports from ESPN, NFL.com, and ProFootballTalk.com claim that Josh Gordon faces a one year suspension from the NFL for the second time in less than a year as he tested positive for alcohol.

The Cleveland Brown wide reciver pleaded guilty to driving while impaired on July 5 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was previously suspended for the first two games back on 201 for violating NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Gordon's future with the Cleveland Browns as well as the NFL now will be in question.

The Browns made a statement by saying, "Clearly we are very disappointed to hear the latest report regarding Josh. At this point, due to the confidential nature of the NFL's substance-abuse policy, we have not been made aware by the league of a failed test. We are in the process of gathering more information and will provide further comment at the appropriate time."

Gordon ended this season in controversy when, he was suspended for the final game of the season for violation of team's rules. Luckily, the new drug testing and punishment policy implemented by the NFL at that time, allowed Gordon to return after missing the first 10 games in the season, instead of being suspended for all of 2014. Gordon applied for reinstatement with commissioner Roger Goodell a year after the suspension begins.

Gordon was drafted by the Browns in the second round of the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft. He played college football at Baylor and entered the NFL after being dismissed from Baylor for a failed marijuana test. Later, Gordon told Houston Chronicle, "It was against school policy, of course, and I was [suspended] in the summer. I've definitely put that part of my life behind me. I don't plan to ever go back there. It was a difficult time, but I learned from it, and I've moved on."

ESPN.com stated, Gordon led the NFL with 1,646 yards in just 14 games in the 2013 season and caught 24 passes for 303 yards in five games this season.
