After the delay of the third episode of increasingly popular anime series "Assassination Classroom," it looks as though attempts to kill Koro-sensei are back in full force.

That is to say that he'll be facing some new formidable opponents over the course of the series.

Today it was announced that Japanese voice actresses Saki Fujita and Megumi Ogata will be joining the voice cast of the "Assassination Classroom" anime. The series, which is currently being simulcast by Funimation on Fridays, is based on the original manga by Yusei Matsui. Viz Media is currently publishing the manga in North America.

So far, fans have reacted to the cast addition news with excitement for specifically voice actress Megumi Ogata.

"MEGUMI!!!! I'm more excited to watch this now," commented KH91 in an ANN forum. 

"I thought about dropping ' Assassination Classroom', but with Megumi Ogata on the cast, I mustn't run away..." explained Penguintruth

"Ogata Megumi's addition to the cast is exciting news," said Hameyadea.

The overwhelming excitement for Megumi Ogata likely has to do with the voice actress' extensive anime career that includes famous roles including voicing Yugi Mutou in "Yu-gi-oh!" Kurama in "Yu-Yu Hakusho," Sailor Uranus in the original Japanese "Sailor Moon" anime series, and Shinji Ikari in three  "Evangelion" films.

According to Anime News Network, Megumi Ogata will voice the character of Itona Horibe who is a transfer student that desperately wants to kill Koro-sensei while also calling him his "blood brother." Meanwhile, Saki Fujita will play Ritsu a robot that specializes in "autonomously thinking fixed artillery" assault.

For those who are unfamiliar with the anime series "Assassination Classroom," it follows the story of class 3E, the lowest class at a fancy prepschool. The kids consider themselves to be not in one way special until they are asked to assassinate Koro-sensei, and octopus-like alien that has just blown a hole in the moon and promises to destroy the earth if he's not killed before the end of the year. For some reason, he accepts a job to be responsible for teaching class 3E while they try to kill him.
