Cote de Pablo's Ziva David could return to "NCIS" if the fans wish it hard enough. Meanwhile, the team welcomes the arrival of Palmer's baby, according to the latest spoilers for the series' season 12.

Gary Glasberg told Fox News that they are very open to the possibility of Ziva David's return to the show.

"We very intentionally didn't kill her. As far as anyone knows, she is living in Israel and her life is moving forward," he said. "We will have to see organically what works in the future. But it is something that we think about."

Meanwhile, in other "NCIS" season 12 spoilers, the team will organize a baby shower for Breena who's about to give birth to Palmer's baby anytime soon.

The synopsis for "We Build, We Fight" reveals more "NCIS" season 12 spoilers as it reads: "Gibbs and the team investigate when a Navy lieutenant who is set to be the first openly gay servicemember to receive the Medal of Honor is murdered. Also, as his wife's due date approaches, Palmer prepares for fatherhood with a NCIS baby shower."

Cote de Pablo earlier talked to TVLine about her choice to leave the show at the height of her popularity.

 "I'm very happy with my choices. I spent time with family, which was incredibly important for me. I've had time to deal with me, which I couldn't really do for a long time, so I'm blessed for that," she said, adding that the positive comments she received was very flattering.

"When you make decisions like this, you never expect for people to fully understand. So it was really delicious to feel that kind of love and I'm always grateful for that," Cote de Pablo said.

On the chance that Ziva David will return to the series, Cote de Pablo teased some spoilers for "NCIS" season 12, "I think the fact that they never killed the character off is very telling. Under the right circumstances, I think it could definitely be explored," she said.
