Every country has their own form of less serious holiday traditions including Black Bean Noodle day in South Korea, and Bill Murray Day in the United States.

But the most creative holiday to date is probably the fake 2/2 "Twin-Tail" day of Japan.

A recent celebrator of this "Twin-Tail" mock holiday is "Fairy Tail" manga creator Hiro Mashima. The author took to his personal twitter to share some double pony tail artwork featuring his own characters. Fans can view this "Twin-Tail" and "Fairy Tail" combination below.

Upon seeing the mock holiday sketches, fans on Crunchyroll lamented not being able to celebrate "Twin Tail" day before finding out it even existed.

"I wish I knew about this holiday yesterday, so I could have participated. Because seeing a bearded man with twintails is an experience more people need to have," commented FelOnyx.

"I think I like this holiday. That being said, Twintail Zaku FTW," said Rcsatcrunchyroll.

Crunchyroll compiled some other interesting tweets in honor of "Twin-Tail" day including the infamous Lady Beard of Japan's own take on twin pony-tails.

"Twin-Tail Day" is likely a mock tribute to obviously the proliferation of symmetrical pony tail hair styles in anime, but as some fans noted, is relevant to the popularity of the "Gonna be the Twin-Tails" anime series. Perhaps you could say there's no point in drawing special sketches featuring characters from that series since it's all about "Twin-tails" anyway.
