'Fast & Furious 7' Star Vin Diesel Confirms 'xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage' - Movie To Start Filming In The Philippines

"Fast & Furious 7' Star Vin Diesel revealed that he's going to do "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" movie.

The 47-year-old adrenaline junkie actor admitted that he'll finally be back to reprise his role after years of delays.

"I am going to do the next 'xXx' which will be filming in part in the Philippines, which I'm very, very, very excited about," Diesel said in an interview with Collider.

The "Fast & Furious 7" star was supposed to promote the highly successful "Guardians of the Galaxy" but ended up talking about his future projects.

He revealed that after doing "The Last Witch Hunter" with Michael Caine and "Game of Thrones" star Rose Leslie his next movie will be "Kojac" and then of course "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."

The first movie about the extreme sports enthusiast turned under cover agent became an instant box office success when it was released in 2002, however the sequel which did not star "Fast & Furious 7" actor Vin Diesel in it did not do as well when it came out in 20015.

The second film was titled "xXx: State of the Union" which stars Ice Cube as replacement to Diesel.

A DVD short film, "The Final Chapter: The Death of Xander Cage," was released as an extra for the first movie explaining the switch in character.

In 2008, Diesel surprised fans by announcing that he's considering coming back to reprise his role as Xander Cage and do a third film for the franchise.

Not much development was made about the project until 2013 when the "Fast & Furious 7" star updated that Paramount is still very much pursuing with the sequel.

Earlier in 2014, he revealed that a plot is being written for "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."

However, with the movie lineup "Fast & Furious 7" star Vin Diesel has, it seems like it would take much longer for the film to reach the cinemas.
