4Minute Accused Of Copying 2NE1's Concept For 'Crush' By Fans

Could 4Minute's upcoming mini-album "Crazy" be the new "Crush?" Some observers appear to be asking that question as the girl group continues to tease their impending comeback.

"Crazy," the sixth mini-album by 4Minute, is expected to drop on Feb. 9. As the K-pop group continues to tease fans with photos and videos, some are claiming noticeable similarities between 4Minute's new concept and 2NE1's concept for their 2014 album, "Crush."

In particular, some are noting the usage of chainlink fences, the font as well as the graphics used in the promotional photos and videos as being too similar to be a coincidence.

"When every single thing 4Minute release makes people think of 2NE1 then they are copying their concept," tweeted Eliza on Thursday. "There's no other way to put it."

Others, however, believe this to be another attempt for people to start a fanwar between two popular girl groups.

"People can't get over a release without comparing it to another group they like better in order to put down one group to feel superior," commented Heyjk096 on YouTube. "Leave them be. They're obviously trying hard to find things to hate on and confirm all their beliefs."

A similar incident occurred shortly after Sistar performed on the annual year-end music program "MBC Gayo Daejun." During this performance, observers noticed similarities between the stage outfits of Sistar's backup dancers to that of 2NE1.

"2NE1 wore those outfits the whole year on their concert tour," reported Instiz according to YGPress.

"It's said that it was self-designed and not a brand collection. Sistar's backup dancers' outfits look the same as what 2NE1 wore during 'SBS Gayo Daejun,' so it's debatable whether it was plagiarized or not since they were said to be designed by 2NE1's stylist."
