DSP Entertainment Announces Upcoming Girl Group Ahead of Rainbow Comeback

Baby KARA will debut, announced DSP Media.

DSP Media, the home to K-pop acts like KARA, Rainbow, and A-JAX, will be debuting a new girl group in 2015, reported X Sports News. April will debut in the first half of 2015 and will include several members who had appeared on the 2014 survival show Kara Project.

DSP Media introduced seven female trainees in 2014, including now-KARA member Heo Young Ji. It is unknown whether all other six trainees - Ahn So Jin, Cho Shi Yoon, Yoon Chae Kyung, Jeon So Min, Kim Chae Won, and Son Yoo Ji- will debut as part of APRIL, or if DSP Entertainment will be changing the lineup.

The trainees, known as both Baby KARA and DSP Girls, have many fans, according to DSP Media. Along with appearing on Kara Project, Cho, Yoon, and Jeon were previously known to the public as members of Puretty, also under DSP Media, and Son was a contestant on K-pop Star 2.

It is currently unknown how many members will debut with April in the first half of 2015.

DSP Media was founded in 1991, and has represented numerous top idol groups, including Sechs Kies, Fin.K.L, and SS501.  The current roster includes two girl groups, KARA and Rainbow, and a male idol group, A-JAX.

KARA last made a comeback in 2014 with "Mamma Mia," and Rainbow is set to make a comeback in February. A-JAX's last comeback was in 2013, with "Snake."

Along with the news of April's impending debut, DSP Media also began a logo contest for the group. The competition is accepting entries until Feb. 22.

April will debut in the first half of 2015, but the debut date has yet to be announced.
