'Man Of Steel' Star Henry Cavill Comments On Ben Affleck's Casting In 'Batman Vs Superman' Movie; Two Part Sequel Debunked!

"Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill shares his thoughts on the controversial casting of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Warner Bros. superhero film.

It's no secret that Affleck's casting was not well received by fans. In fact, Time made an article about why people are not happy with the studio's decision.

And while fans are having a hard time accepting "Gone Girl" actor as the new Batman, Henry Cavill is confident that his performance would give justice to the dark superhero.

"I'm sure he'll be fantastic above all else. And as a filmmaker, he's got his own style, you know. He's not copying anyone else. And he's also sort of being tenacious in his career. He's had ups followed by downs and now he's very up again, and I think that requires and shows a very special strength of character. And it's something which I enjoy working with because jobs like this require strength of character, they require a dedication to the work and belief in oneself. And Ben has that, clearly," Superman was quoted saying in an interview with Total Film via Screen Rant.

Meanwhile, the "Man of Steel" actor has also debunked rumors suggesting that the sequel to Superman's movie will be divided into two parts.

"Henry Cavill says 'Batman v Superman' won't be split into two movies. #BAFTATea," Ramin Setoodeh of Variety Tweeted after talking to Henry Cavill during the BAFTA dinner.

Previous speculations suggest that "Dawn of Justice" will soon be followed by a second part movie continuation titled "Enter the Knight."

In addition to "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, new comer Gal Gadot will also be joining the cast as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.

Amy Adams will be returning to reprise her role as Superman's love interest, Lois Lane. Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also be back as Perry White and Martha Kent respectively.

"Batman vs Superman" will hit cinemas on March 25, 2016.
