4Minute's 'Crazy' Music Video Accused Of Copying G-Dragon By YouTube Music Critic MRJKPOP

While some fans are celebrating 4Minute's comeback single, some are claiming the girl group is copying other artists' concepts, particularly those from YG Entertainment.

On Sunday, 4Minute unleashed the music video to their comeback single, "Crazy." Shortly afterwards, YouTube K-pop reviewer MRJKPOP pointed out an alleged similarity between this music video and G-Dragon's "One of a Kind."

"I didn't know G-Dragon was going to be in this music video," he commented. "Just saying. That's disappointing."

MRJKPOP also felt unimpressed by 4Minute's single.

"That was kind of a lazy song," he said.

"The song itself was very sparse, very stripped down. I really like the buildup and the pre-chorus, and then you get to the chorus and it was just hollow. There really wasn't any chord structure movement or chord progression to speak of."

The G-Dragon comparison offended some 4Minute fans who felt it was unjustified.

"I love your videos and I admit the chorus is lazy, but saying they are copying G-Dragon just because they are acting gangster, and especially putting the G-Dragon video above was an asshole thing to do," commented Mate Skoko on YouTube.

However, others believe the reviewer simply articulated an honest opinion on 4Minute's song.

"I appreciate your brave and blunt honesty that is unbiased," wrote Rieja Thorn. "Seriously, thank you. If you get hate, don't mind it. That's what makes your channel unique."

Recently, 4Minute was also accused of copying 2NE1's concept for their 2014 comeback. In particular, some noted the usage of chainlink fences, the font as well as the graphics used in the promotional photos and videos as being too similar to be a coincidence.

Others believe this is another attempt to start a fanwar between two popular girl groups.

"People can't get over a release without comparing it to another group they like better in order to put down one group to feel superior," commented Heyjk096 on YouTube. "Leave them be. They're obviously trying hard to find things to hate on and confirm all their beliefs."
