‘The Vampire Diaries’ Cast Kat Graham Praises Ian Somerhalder’s Directorial Skills: ‘He Was A Natural’

"The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley isn't the only cast member who had a directorial break. Recently, his co-star Ian Somerhalder also directed  the show's episode 16 for its 6th season entitled "The Downward Spiral." Kat Graham even praised the CW actor's directorial skills and called him a "natural."

In an interview with Life & Style, the 25-year-old claims she had a blast with Ian Somerhalder.

"It was so fun! We work in a very similar way because we have the same acting coach," the actress said.

"The Vampire Diaries" star Kat Graham likewise said that Ian Somerhalder did something which other directors weren't able to.

"He was pushing me a lot on set to be better. He just pulled a lot of stuff out of me that a lot of directors who don't know me as well can't," Graham said. "It was really exciting to work for him. He was a natural."

Graham's character, Bonnie Bennett, is unfortunately still imprisoned in the 1994 timeline. In the upcoming episode of "The Vampire Diaries," she will be in Nova Scotia in an attempt to find a magic that would bring her back home to Mystic Falls.

Will she become successfu in her mission and finally reunite with her friends?

Many are speculating that Bonnie will play a pivotal role in helping her friends Elena, Caroline, Damon, and Stefan. Some fans are wondering if Bonnie will also have a role in the spinoff series, "The Originals." After all, witches have significant roles in the said series.

Last year, it was reported that a major character would leave the series. While some speculated that the character leaving would be Stefan, it turned out that it was Jeremy who would exit the show.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 6 episode 14 entitled "Stay" will focus on Jeremy's exit.

Ian Somerhalder's episode airs on Feb. 12  at CW Network.
