Pink Boycotts Fur Completely, Gets Naked For PETA 'I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur' Campaign [PHOTO]

Songstress Pink (aka Alecia Moore) has always been edgy and a little risqué, and we like that about her. This time, we commend her for stripping down to her birthday suit for PETA's "I'd Rather Go Naked than Wear Fur" campaign. According to the Daily Mail, a giant 90- foot billboard of her in the nude was erected in New York City's Times Square this Wednesday evening.

US Weekly reports that the billboard shows Pink sitting down and hugging her knees with a huge smile on her face. The picture is captioned, "Be comfortable in your own skin, and let animals keep theirs." The singer has always had a soft spot for animals - she recently said, "I've always felt that animals are the purest spirits in the world. They don't fake or hide their feelings, and they are the most loyal creatures on Earth."

Despite her love for animals, Pink has not always been fur-free. She stated, "I would like to say I've always been fur-free. Unfortunately, I went through a selfish phase and wore fur on a couple of occasions." However, times have changed, and the Grammy winner now completely boycotts fur.

According to E Online, she added, "But I wised up and now boycott fur completely. I wish everyone was forced to learn the horrors that these animals go through for fashion trends. I hope fur-wearers get bitten in the ass by the same kind of animal they wear on their back."

It is probably not a coincidence that PETA's latest campaign against wearing fur has been unveiled just before New York Fashion Week kicks off on Feb. 12. The PETA website is currently encouraging people to pledge to be fur free, stating, "For every fur coat, piece of fur trim, or fur-lined boot, at least one animal endured pain and died in agony. Join P!nk today and take the pledge to help lead the charge for animals everywhere by living a kinder lifestyle and vowing never to buy fur!"
