Kay Cola Collaborates With French Montana For New Single ‘Not OK’; New Single Drops on iTunes

Rising singer-songwriter Kay Cola dropped her new track "Not OK" from her upcoming debut album, Lucid Dreams on iTunes. The daughter of Grammy nominated songwriter jazz/classical musician Hubert Laws is collaborating with veteran rapper French Montana on the new single.

Kay Cola is a no stranger to KpopStarz, which profiled her before about her own love of K-Pop. Her new single was produced by Sho Nuff, who produced Fergie's recent hit "L.A. Love."

"Not OK" mixes R&B with pop as Cola dishes on an ex-boyfriend. "I can't wait for you to call me, just so I can ignore it babe...I ain't messin' wit you," she sings.

The new track follows "EP Rem: The Prequel EP," which Cola released last year.

Kay's debut album, Lucid Dreams, is scheduled for a spring release

Cola has provided melodies for Dr. Dre, Eminem, The Game and Ne-Yo, who she opened for on tour. Kay also toured with Eric Benet and worked with such producers as Boi-1da and RedOne.

French Montana emigrated to the South Bronx from Morocco. He founded his own Coke Boys imprint before he with Sean Comb's Bad Boy Records and Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group. He has collaborated with Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Nelly, T-Pain, Big Sean and Lil Wayne, among other big hip hop names. Montana recently released his Coke Boys 4 compilation.
