Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special Brings Back '90s Nostalgia: 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys To Reunite [PHOTO]

Exciting news for all you '90s boy band lovers - the Saturday Night Live (SNL) 40th anniversary special is set to air on Sunday, Feb. 15, and it will bring about a reunion of 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys!

According to US Magazine, 'N Sync was first to hint at the news through their Twitter account on Saturday. Their official tweet read, "Together again...Gee, it's good to be together again' #SNL40." The boy band has remained close since splitting in 2002, and their last performance was for Justin Timberlake's MTV VMA's Vanguard performance in August 2013.

Rolling Stone reports that Timberlake also posted a photo on Instagram of an SNL 40 writing session captioned, "Jimmy Fallon is onto something funny... We think."

Now for some news on the Backstreet Boys - they have remained active, and their eighth studio album titled "In A World Like This" was released in 2013. Though they have not been as vocal about appearing on SNL as 'N Sync has, they have been confirmed to be attending along with other musicians including Kanye West, 50 Cent, Elvis Costello, Jon Bon Jovi, Keith Richards, Ludacris, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift.

The full list of celebrities attending can be found at E Online, but we will go ahead and list some notables for you anyway: Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Chris Rock, Derek Jeter, Eddie Murphy, Jack Nicholson, Jim Carrey, Louis C.K., Paul McCartney, and Steven Spielberg to name a few.

The SNL 40th Anniversary Special airs from 8 to 11 p.m. EST on NBC. Will you be watching?
