The best one for a fan to rock later on, though, is one of HyunA's looks from the beginning of the video. The geometric crop top combined with the light denim staples give this look a delightfully 80s vibe that somehow still seems relevant in 2015.

Many people feel like they can't wear high waist shorts. "They're too much like mom jeans!" they protest. But modern high waisted pant designs are everywhere now, and -- much like crop tops -- it's all about proportion. Proportions are why this outfit works. The tight crop top paired with a good high waisted pair of shorts is great on its own. Then add the cropped jean jacket to it and you're highlighting the curves and adding a little extra fabric to the parts that aren't covered up. That makes these shorts a win-win all around, especially when you consider they also look great with just an old ratty t-shirt tucked in the front.
