Steve Wozniak BBC Interview: Apple Co-Founder Talks About The Future Of The Apple Watch As He Claims It Will Be A Big Hit, And Everybody Will Buy It!

Apple's co-founder Steve Wozniak talked about whether the Apple Watch would be a success in an interview with the BBC.

Steve Wozniak wants an Apple Watch, and believes that millions of other people will too.

According to Tech.Thaivisa.com, the forthcoming Apple Watch is slated to be released in April as Steve Wozniak is not been entirely amused by smartwatches until now.

CNet notes that last year, he described the Samsung Galaxy Gear as "worthless." Wozniak, who single-handedly designed both the Apple I and Apple II computers in the late 1970s, is not known for mincing his words.

That said, now that the Apple Watch is set to launch soon, he's smitten. In a new interview with the BBC, Wozniak explained that Apple simply makes products "more fun than anyone else."

Talking about Apple Watch's display, Wozniak said it's "like a little piece of art." He believes that everyone in "hip, camp areas" will be salivating so much, they will want it instantly. But will they be happy buyers? It is yet to be seen how this watch will appeal to the younger audiences, some of whom have never heard of watches. Wozniak believed that the Apple Watch will have to feature or advertised further to get notice.

"Look at how many people have diabetes," Wozniak said, "If this thing's actually measuring blood sugars and monitoring them all day long, oh my gosh, there's a built-in niche market that's huge already."

Wozniak further adds, "Everybody who owns Apple products will buy it and that means millions of people will buy this watch right from the start and that helps get a critical mass going."

According to Tech.Thavisa.com, even if eight percent of iPhone owners bought one Apple Watch each, that's still tens of millions of devices sold.

We will need to wait and see if there will be lines of Apple fanatics queuing up outside stores on its launch day. Also, will there be a special event before the Watch's release is yet to be confirmed. Since the teaser event in Sept. there have been hardly any details available regarding the watch's actual capabilities.

It remains to be seen what the Apple Watch can actually do and how good will be the battery life.
