Beyoncé Photoshop Leak Shameful Or Refreshing? 'BeyHive' Supports 'Drunk In Love' Singer, Calls Leak 'Petty' [PHOTO]

Unaltered images of Beyoncé from a 2013 L'Oreal photo shoot have recently been leaked, and they are making everyone on the Internet go crazy. The fan site "Beyoncé World" is responsible for publishing the photos, which feature zoomed-in depictions of the "Drunk in Love" singer with blemished skin.

Beyoncé's leaked photos come after a recent leak of an unaltered photo of supermodel Cindy Crawford in her lingerie, which many people applauded. ITV journalist Charlene White, who was responsible for the leak, stated, "Take a bow Ms. C. I posted the image in celebration of the 'natural' body of an unmistakably gorgeous woman - and a supermodel that I'd grown-up with - and I thought it'd encourage a bit of a Friday feeling amongst my female followers. In particular, it was so lovely to see a body that hadn't been photoshopped to death."

However, not everyone saw the leaked photos of the Queen of Pop as a show of pride in natural beauty. The Atlantic reports that such photos are part of what is now considered "reality shaming" - a type of culture that expects female celebrities like Beyoncé to be flawless. Publicists often remove any and all unflattering images of stars from the Internet, gradually causing perfection to be demanded and disappointment when that demand is not met.

As Radhika Sanghani of Telegraph states, "[Photo] leakers might feel like they're making an important social point to help women as a whole, but what they end up doing is shaming the women whose photos they're revealing."

Beyonce's fans (a.k.a. the BeyHive) have quickly come to her support, calling the leak 'petty.' One fan stated, "So Beyonce is actually a human being, Shocking! She's still beautiful. We all have blemishes. Leaking those photos was in very poor taste." Another said, "We know Beyonce is pretty. We know Beyonce wears a lot of makeup. You have exposed nothing but your pettiness."

According to Telegraph, "Beyoncé World" has since removed the leaked photos. They said in a statement, "Due to the disdain of the BeyHive, we have removed the photos. We don't want to cause any drama, nor do we wish to start fan wars. Some of the things we have seen posted were just horrible, and we don't want any parts of it. We were just posting the photos to share the fact that our queen is naturally beautiful, at the same time she is just a regular woman."
