K-Pop Covers: Why The Daeho And Banseok A Capella Version Of JYP's 'You're The One' Is Better Than The Original [VIDEO]

YouTube is chock-full of lackluster song covers. With aspiring musicians from all over the globe uploading their very own renditions of popular songs, how can talented artists hope to stand out?

For Korean singers Daeho and Banseok, they do it with raw talent alone.

Recorded live in one take and filmed with a single unedited camera shot, Daeho and Banseok perform an a capella cover of JYP's "You're The One" that far surpasses the original in vocal greatness.

The cover, uploaded to YouTube back in 2012 is convincing proof that a song's original performer is not always the best one.

The "You're The One" cover opens with Banseok, who has a slightly deeper and richer voice than Daeho.

Daeho then joins in with his higher pitched vocals as the two singers' voices blend in a beautiful set of harmonies, neither one dominating the performance.

Stripping away the pop beats of JYP's original version paves way for these two fellas to show off the full extent of their vocal range. But beyond their musical ability, these two talented singers have an earnestness that is impossible to fake.

And Daeho and Banseok didn't just learn how to play "You're The One," they reworked the tempo and delivered the words in a way that compliments their respective voices. And that is genius.

These two young vocalists took a risk. They made the song their own. And with nearly 63,000 views it seems their approach is working..
