Kim Hyun Joong, Pregnant Girlfriend Reportedly Reunite Following Assault Case

Korean singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong reportedly will have child with the ex-girlfriend who previously filed charges against him for domestic violence.

Kim, who shot to fame for his appearance in Korean drama Boys Over Flowers and as a member of boy band SS501, and his former ex-girlfriend, known to the media as "Ms. Choi," will get married and have a child in September, according to Korean magazine Women Sense.

The magazine quoted a source saying that, "the two have mended their relationship successfully." Choi is in her fourth month of the pregnancy. At the time of the report, she is said to be at the beginning of her second trimester, either in the 10 or 11 week of pregnancy.

The couple became embroiled in a legal case in August 2014, after Choi reported Kim to the police for abuse. Kim and Choi settled outside of court following a public apology, and Kim had to pay indictment charges to the Seoul Prosecutor's Office in January.

Korean media outlet Dispatch created a timeline of the events, revealing that the couple got back in December 2014, and spent the holidays together on Jeju Island. Shortly after, Choi confirmed her pregnancy.

Kim had previously thrown a birthday event for Choi in November, following an apology in October. Kim published an official apology in September 2015.

Dispatch highlighted the fact that the assault case was not closed by the Seoul Police until January.

Kim recently released an album in Japan, "Still." He is reportedly enlisting in the Korean army in 2015. Both Kim and Choi's family are meeting to discuss the future of the baby, and the two are discussing marriage.

The star is represented by KeyEast, an entertainment agency, which could not confirm the reports of Kim and Choi's reunion or plans to have a child and get married.
