Super Junior's Sungmin And Wife Close New Instagram Accounts After Wave Of Angry Comments From Fans

Super Junior member Sungmin and his wife, actress Kim Sa Eun, created and then deleted their Instagram accounts shortly afterward, due to pressure from fans.

The couple, who got married at the end of 2014, opened Instagram accounts during the Lunar New Year on February 20. However, allegedly due to bombardment from fans that were angry towards the idol and his wife about their marriage and treatment of fans, both accounts have been closed.

Sungmin's account was @real_sungmin while Sa Eun's was @saeuny. Within hours of the accounts being opened, they were filled with comments from fans - many supporting the couple, while others were filled with anger.

Fans on Korean portal site Instiz reported that Korean fans of Sungmin grew angry after seeing that he only followed his wife on Instagram, rather than the other Super Junior members who have Instagram accounts. Comments alleged that Sungmin took advantage of fans, milking them for money, but only paid attention to his wife.

The hashtag #sungminout was also used, appearing on both Instagram and Twitter.

One of Sungmin's most devoted fans closed her fanpage after the news of him dating. She shared proof that he had reached out to her via email. However, when she responded with a nine page letter to him describing her feelings, the singer did not respond.

The fan had been devoted to Sungmin for years, and revealed ways that he had treated fans badly. She explained that Sungmin asked fans to make a video for his wedding, which Korean fans found offensive since it allegedly mocked fans who supported Sungmin prior to his marriage.

She also revealed that Sungmin had not invited fans to the wedding, despite the request for the video and after accepting sponsored gifts when the event was supposed to be a private event.

Although the fan expressed anger, she also clarified some things that had been misconstrued by the situation, including the fact that Super Junior's Kyuhyun had indeed attended the wedding, despite reports that the two were at odds over the way that Sungmin announced his engagement.

Sungmin and Kim Sa Eun announced their engagement in October 2015, and the two got married in December. The idol has said he has no plans to withdraw from Super Junior and is reportedly preparing to enlist in the Korean military in 2015 to fulfill his mandatory service.
