VIXX Give 90's Hit 'Love Equation' A Charming Update In New Music Video

Jellyfish Entertainment's K-pop boy group VIXX released their "Love Equation" music video and Boys' Record mini-album.

The VIXX members have already shown that they can be charismatic space vampires ("On and On"), earth-bound angels with double personalities ("Hyde"), tortured voodoo dolls, ("Voodoo Doll") and emotionally-stunted cyborgs ("Error"). The group has now temporarily put the dark concept aside and returned with a lighthearted and upbeat pop song reminiscent of their previous single "G.R.8.U."

"Love Equation" is a remake of R.ef's 1995 song "Farewell Formula." VIXX fans, Starlights, are loving the group's unique interpretation of the song and fun, carefree music video. The video was directed by Lumpens, who also directed MFBTY's "Sweet Dream" and Rain's "LA Song."

In the video, the group members were heartbroken after fighting with their girlfriends. Not even their favorite hobbies could distract them! For instance, Ken struggled to play video games with two controllers, Leo couldn't drown his sorrows playing basketball, and Ravi couldn't concentrate on singing. But in the end, the group found solace in their friendship and reverted to their naturally, goofy personalities.

The top rated comment under the video, by EunYoung Uzun, exclaims, "I LOVE VIXX's dark concepts, but this is so refreshing!! The song actually reminded me of K-pop style [from] years ago. I'm not even a Starlight man, but this song made me tear, so many feels..."
