Masta Wu Hints At Big Bang-Kush Collaboration With Instagram Update

Will Big Bang's upcoming album be filled with YG Entertainment artists?

On February 25, legendary YG hip-hop artist Masta Wu shared a photo from a recording studio, showing himself alongside several YG artists, including two Big Bang members. YG Entertainment confirmed Big Bang's first Korean album since 2012, but has not revealed whether other YG Entertainment artists will feature on the song.

Masta Wu shared a picture showing himself, Kush, and Big Bang members T.O.P and Taeyang. A fifth person is seen from the side, speculated to be Big Bang's leader and rapper, G-Dragon.

Other than the picture, there has been no statement released by YG Entertainment to clarify what the five were doing in the recording studio. It is unknown whether Kush and Masta Wu are producing the music or featuring on songs in Big Bang's upcoming album.

Masta Wu wrote many YG Entertainment songs, including 2NE1's "Gotta Be You" and Hi Suhyun's "I'm Different. Kush was a member of Stony Skunk (known as S-Kush,) until the group disbanded in 2008, and produced music at YG Entertainment under the aliases Kush and e.Knock. In a 2013, G-Dragon explained that Kush left YG Entertainment prior to enlisting in his mandatory Korean military service and it is unclear what Kush's relationship with YG Entertainment currently is.

The group of possible collaborators has worked together in the past. Kush featured on G-Dragon's debut solo album, in the song "She's Gone" in 2009. In 2014, Masta Wu and Taeyang & G-Dragon formed members of two YG Hip Hop Project releases, "Come Here" and "Good Boy" respectively.

YG Entertainment confirmed Big Bang's first full length album with all five members will be released in April. It will be the group's first Korean comeback in three years.
