Preview 'Odyssey' Coming To NBC On April 5, Two Crew Members Attacked On Set In Morocco [VIDEO]

"Odyssey" is a new conspiracy thriller coming to NBC April 5. The most recent news from the show is that members of the cast and crew were attacked in Morocco.

The Daily Mail reports that when the first assistant director and make-up artist were leaving a restaurant late at night near their apartment, a group of young men attempted to rob them. A fight reportedly broke out when the crew members attempted to defend themselves, causing injuries and a broken hand.

"They had to go to hospital with some broken hands but hopefully they will be OK," line producer Ahmed Abounouom said. "This could have happened anywhere in the world. It was not on the set and it had nothing to do with the project."

The show has been compared to "Traffic" as it will show a story from multiple character's perspectives and wil not focus on one lead. The plot follows an international conspiracy that is uncovered when a female soldier stranded in North Africa, a corporate lawyer working to illegally funnel money to extremist groups, and a political activist collide.

The series will star "Pushing Daisies" Anna Friel as a female soldier in North Africa dealing with an international conspiracy. Peter Facinelli from "Twilight" will play the attorney. Jake Robinson, best known for his role on "The Carrie Diaries," will play the political activist.

Deadline sat down with the executive producer Peter Horton."It's not a cop show, it's not an FBI show, it's not a spy show," Horton said. "It's about three ordinary people doing extraordinary things stumbling upon a sort of Halliburton gone wild corporation."
