G-Friend Discuss How Fame Has Changed Their Lives In Ize Magazine Interview

Rookie K-pop girl group G-Friend had a sweet photoshoot and in-depth interview in the March issue of Ize magazine. The girls modeled pleated skirts, varsity sweatshirts, simple crop tops, sporty short-shorts and the latest New Balance sneakers in front of a fresh, white backdrop.

During the accompanying interview the members discussed a variety of topics, including how they have adjusted to their new idol lifestyle and their dreams for the future.

When asked about the hardest aspect of live performances, members Sowon chose expressions. She explained, "I would always say to myself, 'Today I will give a big smile.' But after monitoring it, I looked awkward. Also, I'm not very flexible so the high kick was hard. I practiced for four years. It seemed easy for everyone else but hard for me."

Meanwhile, member Umji is still adapting to her new idol status. She revealed, "I went to go buy a banana at the convenience store in front of our company. Suddenly I heard our song. I'd never heard it being played outside before. I was really embarrassed but it was also fascinating..."

Yerin shared the same happy bewilderment. She stated, "...My graduation day was strange. Our manager was next to me, and behind me were our fans taking pictures. My life changed a lot in just one month."

The members also talked about future activities they hope to pursue, which include acting, modeling and overseas promotions. Sowon was very specific about which style concept she wanted to try. She stated, "I want to try a concept like f(x)'s 'Rum Pum Pum Pum' or 'Electric Shock'..."

G-Friend is currently busy promoting their debut single "Glass Bead" on music programs.
