Do Sang Woo Admits He Has Much To Prove As An Actor

Actor Do Sang Woo had a chic pictorial and in-depth interview in the February issue of Allure. Do discussed his drama Legend of the Witch, his interest in trying theater, and his business Ping Pong Pub, among various other topics.

When asked why he switched from modeling to acting, the rising star explained, "At first, I started because it was purely fun...the fact that I knew nothing about acting made it fun for me." However, his mindset has changed dramatically after working in a few productions.

He continued, "Now, I'm under a lot of pressure and a lot of stress. When I was filming It's Okay, That's Love, I even lost 7kg. However, when I'm acting, there are times when I'm working in such harmony with my partner...This is when I feel something close to ecstasy. It's addicting."

When the discussion arrived at the topic of love, Do stated he has always been in balanced relationships. He was nothing like his cheating character Choi Ho in the drama It's Okay, That's Love. He revealed, "I've always been earnest in my relationships. I'm the type to have long relationships."

The performer also asserted that he is willing to try any role so long as it makes him grow as an actor. He said, "When I finished filming a drama before, I went out for a drink with an actor who has been in the industry for a long time. We got drunk and he told me, 'You can't act, you're only working right now because of your looks.' These words are true. There are countless people who want to be actors and I just got lucky. Still, I'm keeping the same mindset of, 'I wasn't good back then, so I will show you now how I can do it.'"
