Although Amber Liu of f(x) is shaking her brass as a single lady, the rapper recently revealed that she's had a boyfriend in the past.

On Friday, Amber appeared on "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook," where the 22-year-old discussed her recent interest in dating.

"These days, I want to date," said Amber according to allkpop.

"I've gained a lot of interest in men. It's different from [having] friends. I want to date a bit."

When Yoo Hee Yeol asked whether she's ever had a boyfriend, Amber answered yes, surprising some viewers.

"I did," said Amber. "I had just one. A really long time ago. I really being somewhat active, so I wish I had a boyfriend with whom I could play sports with. I like basketball, skateboarding, everything."

Recently on MBC's "I Live Alone," Amber also revealed her frustration over being mistaken for a man.

"I look strong, but I'm a person who gets hurt easily," she said. "I'm a woman, am I not? But people are completely taken by surprise in the bathroom. They tell me, 'I think you came to the wrong place.' I understand why they might misunderstand, but honestly, I can't help but be hurt by it."

Last month, Dazed unveiled an interview with Amber discussing her solo debut. Here, the 22-year-old talked about her journey in embracing her androgynous style.

"It's a big culture thing," said Amber.

"I understand that people are going to question it. With anything new, if it's weird or cool it will catch people's attention. But slowly that new thing, if it catches on, it becomes a trend itself. I'm seeing a lot more tomboys in Korea on the street and I do hear less of, 'Why don't you dress like a girl?' Now a lot of people are accepting towards women's different styles and characteristics."
