Get That K-Pop Look: Jang Nara at 'Age of Innocence' Premiere

Welcome to this week's Get That K-pop Look, where we showcase an original K-Pop outfit and give you tips on putting together your own similarly styled, affordable outfit.

This week on Get That K-pop Look, we have a double agenda. First, we're here to applaud Jang Nara's outfit from the recent 'Age of Innocence' premiere and let you know where to find similar pieces. Second, we want to dispute the notion that all jean everything - disparagingly known as the Canadian tuxedo - does not have to be a fashion faux pas. Jang Nara shows us how full-body denim, when paired with sophisticated pastels and heels, can still scream sophistication and polish.

Dark Denim Shirt, $29.99 from Mango

The denim shirt and jacket has certainly seen its variety of target consumers (cowboys, 80s supermodels, middle schoolers on the first day of school, etc.), but the fact is this classic is never going out of style. It just gets an update. This version from Mango is a good display of that timelessness - it's classic enough to stay in your closet for years, but with a good modern cut and wash that will make it fit in a more flattering way than any old denim you'll find in a secondhand bin.

Mid Rise Skinny Jeans, $45 from Levi's

Got to love Jang Nara's commitment to denim here and eschewing any jean trends like acid wash, black denim, or ripped knees. If you're going traditional, too, there's no better place to look that Levi's for a honest-to-goodness, reliable pair of blue jean pants.

Draped Twill-Woven Trench Coat, $39.90 from Forever 21

Part airy socialite and part super-secret spy, this pastel coat couldn't be a lighter, more feminine addition to all jean everything. It's a bright, smiley addition to a rainy day outfit, or a perfect way to make even yoga pants and a t-shirt look a little more poised.

Fit for a Fashionista Heel in Taupe, $27.99 from ModCloth

There's a duality to this shoe that we're going to see a lot of in the next few months. The front is all slim lines, finishing off a clean line from head to toe that elongates the leg. But the back is a good chunky heel that's a throwback to the 70s, adds a little punch to the shoe, and most importantly, makes it a much more comfy for walking.

Faux-Leather Phone Case Crossbody Bag, $38.50 from Neiman Marcus

Stick with the breezy pastel vibe of the coat to accessorize with this outfit. A simple white bag just big enough for the essentials is a nice finishing touch to this look.
