'Red Velvet' Unveils 'Automatic' Music Video Ahead Of 'Ice Cream Cake' Album Release [VIDEO]

Shortly after the announcement of a comeback and an additional member, it would appear that SM Entertainment girl group Red Velvet has no intention of slowing down.

Even if their new song is more down tempo.

This weekend now five member girl group Red Velvet unveiled a soulful new song entitled "Automatic" along with a dark and somewhat mysterious music video. The song "Automatic" is a pre-release track for their upcoming full length album "Ice Cream Cake."

Although admittedly the style of "Automatic" is more geared toward an R&B groove, many fans find this change from their early upbeat pop style a nice change of page:

"I see many boy groups pull off the calm/creepy concept, and I was really happy to see that Red Velvet did something in that direction," commented Johanna Gustafson on Youtube.

"I think they can do all concepts. They're talented, really!" exclaimed GG SONE.

"I hate listening to slow songs, but my, is this song good! Round of applause to RV, it also reminds me of the good old R&B songs from the early 2000s wow. Love it," explained Fadumo Hussien.

According to Koreaboo, Red Velvet is set to release their album "Ice Cream Cake" on March 18. As of just a few hours ago, the music video for "Ice Cream Cake" popped up on SM Entertainment's official youtube channel, so fans can now also check out the main title track for their comeback in addition to "Automatic."

For those who are not familiar with Red Velvet, the group is comprised of Irene, Joy, Wendy, Seulgi, and newest member, Yeri. A welcome video for Yeri was released last week in preparation for the upcoming album release. Fans can follow more Red Velvet activities on their official facebook.

Whether you prefer upbeat or mid-tempo groove, it looks as though Red Velvet is prepared to offer fans the best of both worlds.
