G-Friend Members Set To Star In Pet-Themed Reality Show

It's an auspicious start for G-Friend as the rookie six-member girl group will star in their own reality show titled G-Friend! Please Take Care of the Puppies, according to Allkpop.

G-Friend's pet-themed reality show will air on Sky Pet Park channel starting on April 14, and the girls will serve as pet sitters for a day.

Pet sitters are contracted by pet owners to take care of their beloved animals for a period of time, and share similar responsibilities with baby sitters for babies and toddlers.

While G-Friend will likely find the pets as cute and cuddly, they needed to prepare for it. The girls reportedly took lessons on caring for young pets like puppies and even took tests to become qualified pet sitters.

G-Friend released their debut song "Glass Bead" in January and had been receiving attention for sharing a similar concept and vibe as Girls' Generation, a comparison for which the humble group has been grateful.

The cute new reality show will likely increase their visibility and solidify their reputation as girls next door who are friends with each other. The reality show should also show fans the dynamics of their friendship within a group.

Fans worried that G-Friend's reality show will be dull should be encouraged by their past comments which reveal their go-getter attitude.

"We think that showing the image of girls who are young but overflowing with health and vigor is something we can only do at this age. We wanted to show our energetic and playful side in school, so we tried our best," said member Sowon in one interview.

The group's members have also expressed interest in acting, modeling and overseas promotions in a separate Ize magazine interview.
