Japanese Publication Oricon Style Picks EXO, A Pink As K-Pop's Biggest Rising Stars

Japanese media Oricon Style revealed that as of late, K-pop has slowly been diminishing in Japan. However, they chose EXO and A Pink as two groups to be the next rising stars in K-pop.

“It has become very hard to buy tickets for EXO’s concerts as they have becoming overwhelming popular here in Japan,” said Oricon Style posted on OSEN on Sunday. “Last April, they held their first concert at the Saitama Arena and a tour in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka that fall to meet their fans as well.”

They also reported on girl group A Pink’s rising popularity in Japan as well.

“The sexy concept has been a trend in girl groups these days, but A Pink took a different route and gained much attention with their cute and innocent image,” said Oricon Style posted on OSEN on Sunday. “They met with 50,000 fans at their pre-debut showcase and have also been featured on various Japanese magazines and TV.”

In regards to DVD sales, TVXQ and Big Bang are still currently ranked high at number eight and 10 respectively.
