EXO Promises Successful Comeback, Despite Scheduling And Health Concerns Of Chinese Members

Further problems surround the Chinese members of EXO.Two members of SM Entertainment's ten-member idol group EXO are facing problems amidst EXO's latest comeback with the album "Exodus." The group's two Chinese members, Lay and Tao, face issues just as the group made its re-debut as a ten-member act, following the departure of two members in 2014.

Lay was unable to attend EXO's comeback press conference on March 30 due to filming in China, while Tao is still recovering from a prior injury.

Despite the injury, Tao will perform with the nine other members during EXO's comeback stages.

The actions of EXO's two remaining Chinese members have been closely monitored by the Korean media after SM Entertainment warned of outside elements threatening to poach the pair.

The fact that both remaining Chinese members of EXO have problems coinciding with the group's first comeback of 2015 ignites rumors that have surrounded the group ever since SM Entertainment revealed that outside factors had a part in the departure of Kris (Wu Yi Fan) and Luhan from EXO in 2014.

Both former EXO members started careers in China's entertainment industry shortly after leaving the group, and rumors continuously abound regarding Lay and Tao's future in the group.

Korean outlet Newsen questioned Lay's reasoning for not appearing at the EXO press conference, but clarified that the singer is in China while working on the set of upcoming film, Oh My God.

SM Entertainment shared a video of Lay apologizing for not being there, but promising to make the comeback performances worthwhile.

After Tao revealed at the press conference that he was still recovering, EXO's leader Suho clarified that he [Tao] "will be performing at the comeback stage and will continue to perform on stage with us, as long as his injury doesn't get worse."
